A native of southern California, Dr. Boisse grew up in the Los Angeles area and moved permanently to North County San Diego in 1999. Having wanted to be a veterinarian since grade school, she achieved this goal upon graduating from Ross University in 1995.
Animals have always been Dr. Boisse’s passion, with their safety and comfort as her primary goals. She chose emergency and urgent care because it offers the opportunity to make the most immediate impact on pets’ well-being. Pets are family members and best friends who enhance the quality of our lives, providing unconditional love and trust. It is her extreme pleasure and privilege to be there for pets when they most need help.
At Papaya Veterinary Care’s first Emergency Hospital, Dr. Boisse is overjoyed to be back in the North County San Diego community, doing what she loves. When not working, she enjoys traveling with her husband and two children, and spending time with her extended furry family: “Venus,” a mastiff mix, Leo and Tycho the feline troublemakers, the parrot “Joli,” three tortoises, and six koi fish.
Dr. Iverach was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and always knew she wanted to be a vet from a very young age. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2020 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, she started off her career in a busy rural mixed practice in Australia. There, she gained experience treating a wide variety of species including livestock, horses, small animals, and wildlife/exotics. With many late nights as the on-call emergency vet for the region, she realized her passion for emergency medicine and surgery while being there for people and their animals when they needed it most.
In 2024, she was ready for a new challenge and made the move across the pacific to San Diego to continue this passion and focus solely on emergency medicine. When she’s not busy at the hospital, you can usually find her outdoors hiking, camping, enjoying the beach, or sourcing the best food and wine in the region.
Upon graduating, Dr. Brooks returned to the U.S. and worked as a general practitioner in Temecula, CA for about 18 months before starting to moonlight as an Emergency Veterinarian. Enjoying the challenges of emergency medicine, he transitioned to working full-time as an emergency veterinarian in San Diego before accompanying his wife to Oahu to pursue her career as a veterinary medicine Criticalist. Returning to San Diego to raise his family, Dr. Brooks is excited to continue to provide urgent care services and promote preventative care, in particular dental health. When not at work he enjoys camping trips with his family, mountain biking, and home improvement projects.
Dr. Vivian Bui is originally from Maryland and earned her Bachelors Degree in Animal Science. She then moved to San Diego after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine where she found her love and expertise in soft tissue surgery. On her off time, you can find her either outside playing volleyball or cuddling up on her couch with her two cats, Luna and Autumn.

She enjoys the unpredictability and challenges that working in Emergency brings and is excited to have the opportunity to serve the pets and families of her community. When not at work, Milan spends most of her time with her two kids, husband, and their furry friends Jax, Cash, and Hank.
